Prof. AGLAÉE DEGROS

Prof. AGLAÉE DEGROS is professor and head of the Institute of Urbanism at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) and honorary science fellow at the Vrije Universiteit in Brussels (VUB).

In 2001, together with Stefan Bendiks, she founded the Urbanism and Architecture office Artgineering. Degros has held various teaching positions and visiting professorships: at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design (RAvB), VUB, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, TU Wien, the Politecnico di Milano (Polimi), and the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), among others.

She is co-author of books such as the Routledge publication Public Space and the Challenges of Urban Transformation in Europe, Traffic Space is Public Space, Territorial Justice, Basics of Urbanism, and Towards Territorial Transition. She is a regular jury member for international urban planning and design competitions.

Since 2021 she is one of four experts in the team of the Bouwmeester of the Flemish Region, the Antwerp Ring, and the Brussels-Zaventem Airport.
